A large and important contribution to the municipality's electricity supply
OX2 AB is developing a large-scale, ground-based solar park in the vicinity of Moholm in Töreboda municipality, Västra Götaland county, in collaboration with concerned landowners. The project covers approximately 175 hectares of land and, when fully developed, will be able to produce approximately 130 GWh of electricity per year from renewable solar energy. Töreboda municipality's total electricity consumption in 2021 was 170 GWh, which means that the completed plant will make a large and important contribution to the energy transition and contribute to the fulfillment of climate goals.

Sustainability
Sustainability
OX2 and our suppliers are guests in the local communities. For us, is extremely important to create dialogue with and show respect for the people who live and work in the local area. This includes transparent communication, creating local jobs, business sector development or financial grants through community funds or property tax, depending on the market and conditions in the area.
The expansion of renewable energy should not come at the expense of nature and it is not enough for us to mitigate climate change. We have long worked to minimize our negative impact on nature and are now taking decisive action towards our goal of nature-positive wind and solar farms by 2030.
Our projects are sustainable by design, from early planning to construction and management.

Grievance and complaints
The grievance mechanism is targeted towards individuals, communities and companies who have feedback or concerns regarding our projects.
OX2 takes all complaints seriously and aims to acknowledge and resolve complaints promptly. A complaint is a formal expression of dissatisfaction made to or about OX2, related to its project development, construction, operation, or a staff member.
We acknowledge that anyone has a right to lodge a complaint and we will ensure that all the complaints we receive will be managed respectfully, objectively, and efficiently.
What is happening now in the project?
During 2022 and 2023, preparatory surveys and investigations of the conditions in and around the project area have been carried out. The permit process began in the spring of 2023 through consultation with both authorities and the public. An environmental impact statement has been produced, which was included in the application for a voluntary environmental permit that was submitted to the County Administrative Board in Västra Götaland in 2024. The application is still being processed by the authority. OX2 assesses that a permit decision will come in 2025.
Continued work
In parallel with the ongoing permit process, OX2 investigates, together with the network owner in the relevant area, how the planned solar park should be connected to the existing electricity grid. In addition, certain investigations of the conditions in the project area are underway, with the aim of mapping soil conditions, etc. The timetable for establishing the solar park in Moholm is currently unclear, as it depends on the ongoing permit review and grid connection process. OX2 currently assesses that the solar park can be established and ready for operation in 2027 at the earliest.
