Lars Bryngelsson, Managing Director of OX2 TCM

What is technical and commercial management really about?

We ensure that our customers’ facilities are managed both from a technical and commercial perspective. Commercially, it is a matter of ensuring that the plants have favorable operating contracts and that we comply with laws and regulations regarding health, safety and the environment. Technically, we ensure that the facilities are in the optimum condition, that they are continually monitored, produce electricity all the time, and that the suppliers provide service and maintenance according to contracts. This work also includes undertaking technical inspections at the wind farms. Another important part of what we do is to analyze and optimize production.

How would you describe the last period and what are you most proud of that you have accomplished?

I am most proud that we have increased customer satisfaction, which has led to many new management contracts and expansion into a brand new market – Lithuania. We have also streamlined our work processes and introduced more advanced IT system support, which means we are able to further enhance our quality.

What are OX2’s future goals and visions in this area?

We want to be the obvious go-to partner when companies or organisations are looking to grow in wind power in the Nordic region, but also in countries in Europe, because they know we deliver better than anyone else.

“Best of all is to make customers happy and that feeling of delivering sustainable value” Lars Bryngelsson, Managing Director OX2 TCM

How do market conditions look?

The future looks bright for the management of wind power because the industry is growing and large wind farms are being built. There will be a great need for our services in the future. We also see the market maturing which will enable professionalisation. OX2 has a broad platform of expertise, both when it comes to turbines at the cutting edge of technological development and turbines with older proven solutions, which will create a great deal of value for customers in the growth phase in which we now find ourselves.

What are the success factors and challenges?

The most important success factor is making it easy to own wind power and to create optimal returns. It’s about looking at and understanding the factors that influence generation and proactively optimizing our customers’ turbines. The greatest challenges are helping the owners who invested in their turbines when both electricity prices and the prices of electricity certificates were much higher than today. Some owners with older assets are facing a difficult financial situation. Here we are tasked with finding solutions for improved profitability and reduced costs.

What is the most enjoyable part of your work at OX2?

Best of all is the feeling of delivering sustainable value, of creating green energy that is also profitable. In addition, I am doing this with knowledgeable and dedicated employees.
